In addition to easy mountain hikes, there are also walks in the morning or evening on which we can also observe the local breeding birds.
We also encounter bird species that can hardly be sighted on the Central Plateau because they are completely or almost extinct. We are also on the trail of numerous ornithological topics such as: What is the purpose of birdsong and what is the difference to the call? Why do some birds migrate south in winter and others don't? Which breed in caves, which in niches or in skilfully woven nests? Why have meadow breeders, which are still comparatively common here in the Goms, become rare or severely threatened throughout Switzerland?
There should also be enough time for your personal needs. The natural garden of the Berglodge Goms invites you to relax and reflect. You can bridge wet weather with a visit to the in-house sauna. If you're interested, you can even book a yoga lesson with your host Michèle to stretch your moving muscles and harmonise your mind and soul. The Yoga lessons take place in the very harmoniously designed attic room of the Berglodge Goms, where we will certainly feel very comfortable as guests.
Built in 2021, the small hotel is a genuine log cabin in the local architectural style and is a cosy place to stay and base ourselves for our excursions through nature. The house is architecturally and aesthetically very appealing and is run by two friendly hosts from central Switzerland. They make sure that we want for nothing. The vegetarian breakfast buffet and the evening menu are made from regional and organic ingredients and taste excellent in the bright and panoramic dining room.

The hikes will be easy and last 3-5 hours, including breaks for refreshments.

In addition to the focus on ornithology, we will encounter other exciting topics on the hikes and appreciate the small wonders to the right and left of the trail. There will be information about the nature and culture of this unique region adapted to the location and situation
