Practical information

Where are the changing rooms located? When does the race number distribution take place?

Here you will find all information for before, during and after the race as well as information about the start and finish area.

Starting categories

Int. Gommer Skimarathon (42 km) / Gommerlauf (21 km)

Anyone who fails to start in the allocated category will be disqualified. 
The qualification is valid for two years, after that the runner falls one category behind. 
Requests and reallocations should be submitted to gommerlauf@goms.ch.

Subsequent category changes
Category changes must be submitted to gommerlauf@goms.ch.
Fee CHF 15.00 (from 12 February 2024)

During race

Leki pole service
Right after the start, at the refreshment points and at the cross-country trail control station in Biel.

Fotoservice
The photographers of «Alpha Foto» and Int. Gommerlauf will take pictures in several attrac- tive locations on the track.

Sponser feeding service
Food and drink service stations at the starting/ finishing area and along the race track.

After the race

Chips/transponders

The chip for timekeeping must be worn on the ankle with the Velcro strap provided. It must be returned to the appropriately labelled place after the finish. If it is not returned, CHF 60.00 will be charged.

Objections / protests
Until 15 minutes after finish, written, along with a CHF 100.00 deposit, at the racing office. Objections relating to the Leonteq Biathlon Cup and the Mini-Gommerlauf must be made within 15 minutes of the race ending at the racing office.

Maximal permitted finishing
Saturday, 24 February 2024: 14h00
Sunday, 25 February 2024: 14h30
Runners who have not completed half the course after 11.45 a.m. in Ulrichen will be removed from the race by the jury.

Ranking
The ranking is being published directly after the race.

Prizes / Prize money
There is an overall prize-giving ceremony. The prize / prize money must be receipted at the pri- ze giving ceremony. No redirections. Prizes will be awarded for the first five in each race including Gommer Combi. Medals for the first three in each race including Gommer Combi. Each participant will receive a souvenir prize and present.

Honorary gifts
Participants taking part in the Gommerlauf for the 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th or 50th time will be honoured and can collect an anniversary gift at the information office. No delivery.

Starting/finishing area

Parking spaces
The parking spaces are located on the airfield area in Ulrichen. From Ulrichen the entrance is signalized. The barrier-free parking spaces are located on the right after the bridge at the Nordic Center. Camping is prohibited on the parking lots.

Train station Ulrichen
The train station is located about 10 minutes walking distance from the start/finish area. There is a shuttle bus to the Nordic Center, 07.00 - 12.00 on Saturday and Sunday.

Information office/valuables/lost items/anniversaries
The information office is located at the issue of race numbers. Valuables can be handed in here and the deposit of lost valuables is also located here. In addition, the Infobüro is where the canes are returned (in case of cane breakage) and where the gifts to those celebrating an anniversary for event participation is also located in the information office.

Gommerlauf Village
Gommerlauf Village, where our sponsors and partners will be presented at interesting stands, is located directly after the finish area. The award ceremonies will also be held in this area.

Catering
Directly next to the Gommerlauf Dorf, in a heated hangar, you will find the catering with an attractive offer. The catering is open from 09.00

Pasta fun
Saturday, 24 February 2024 from 17.00. The Pasta Plausch is free of charge for participants on presentation of their race number and for helpers.

 

Miscellaneous

Shuttle service – Matterhorn Gotthard Railway
On race day free of charge on the entire MGBahn track network on presentation of the registration confirmation (e-mail) from Datasport.

Hint photos
Participants in the Gommerlauf agree that film recordings and photos may be taken during the event without any claim to remuneration. The photos may be used for public relations purposes by Obergoms Tourismus AG. If you do not agree to this, please mark your start number with a red X.

Cancellation insurance can be completed while registering at Datasport.

... credited for the Int. Gommerlauf 2025 (no refund). In case of cancellation after 1 February 2024 a medical certificate must be submitted not later than 1 march 2024. Otherwise, there is no credit for the Int. Gommerlauf 2025. Other conditions (credit amounts and no refund) see cancellation prior to 1 February 2024. The credit is not transferable.

Insurance and liability
The organisers accept no liability for accidents or any loss or damage (including theft). Participation in the competition is at your own risk.
