The Station Ritz Visitor Center in the station building in Niederwald pays homage to Caesar Ritz
Following extensive renovation, the historic railway station building in Niederwald was reopened as Station Ritz on December 13, 2019. Today, it combines culture, history, and hospitality in a unique location in the Goms region.

The centerpiece is a permanent exhibition on Caesar and Marie Louise Ritz, complemented by special exhibitions that change annually. Currently on display is the exhibition

“Alexander Seiler and his hotel empire.”

Exhibition opening hours:

Daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A special highlight: original items from the world-famous Ritz Hotel in Paris, which were purchased at an online auction in 2018. Some of them can be found in the “Suite M,” a detailed reconstruction of a hotel room from the Place Vendôme. Other pieces – furniture, lamps, display cases – also lend the bistro at Station Ritz its special atmosphere.

Summer opening hours 2025

  • Kiosk: open daily
  • Bistro: Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
