Political music. Hard Facts is a programme of new music with explicitly political content. UMS’nJIP (Ulrike Mayer-Spohn and Javier Hagen) are among the most active ensembles for contemporary new music, with over 300 commissioned works and 1,500 concerts in 40 countries, as well as 35 international awards. They are welcome guests everywhere, from the Liceu Barcelona, Steghi Athens, Alexandrinsky St. Petersburg, CRR Istanbul, Palacio de Bellas Artes Mexico City, Colón Buenos Aires, the Shanghai New Music Week, the Venice Biennale and Binn. In 2022, they will settle in Goms and found the MEbU (Münster Earport), an art space for contemporary music not far from the Rhone Glacier.
