LO PAN NER is the name given to a cross-border festival in the Aosta Valley that focuses on black bread and how it is made. Since 2025, 15 bakeries in Valais have also been taking part.
The Bachhüs Oberwald will also be opening its doors on Saturday, October 18, inviting visitors to bake traditional rye bread. In addition to bread baking, guests can enjoy raclette, drinks, and the opportunity to purchase freshly baked rye bread.
Time:
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Heating the oven & preparing the bread dough
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Baking bread
2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Bread sale, raclette, drinks
