Manage/rent accommodation

All important information about your accommodation

Here you will find everything you need to know about renting out your accommodation.

Overnight stay statistics and guest control

Recording guest and/or overnight stay data.

In accordance with the tourist tax regulations of the municipalities of Obergoms and Goms, all owners of holiday homes are required to report the number of overnight stays in their homes or mountain huts to us for statistical purposes.

  • Artikel 12. Kurtaxenreglement:

Guest registration is based on cantonal tourist tax regulations/accommodation laws. Landlords who rent accommodation for tourist purposes in return for payment and without providing hotel services are obliged to provide us with the following information about their guests via the MeldeClient: Surname, first name, date of birth, address, nationality, type and number of identity document, dates of stay in the accommodation.

All holiday apartments listed on our website www.goms.ch via our reservation system (feratel/Deskline) can register their guests directly via the WebClient. All other landlords will receive external access to the MeldeClient.

booking system

feratel Deskline

New: Translations in the WebClient are now activated. You can now translate texts yourself.

Deskline is our reservation system. It offers many interfaces to online portals and booking websites. This allows guests to book their holidays online without having to wait a long time for availability information, etc. The advantage of a central "collection point" for all relevant data is a reduction in misinformation and an increase in data quality. This offers landlords and hoteliers significant advantages when distributing their offers in the large "Internet" market.

New guest behaviour requires a rethink of the service chain. Spontaneous and last-minute bookings, shorter stays and new technologies require a flexible and professional reservation system. The Upper Valais region, from Brig to Oberwald, has jointly opted for the Deskline system. The contact for all service providers in the Upper Goms (Oberwald to Niederwald) is Obergoms Tourismus AG.

The system is user-friendly and, for accommodation providers, there are no costs in the form of commission from Obergoms Tourismus AG for successful online bookings. From 1 November 2019, a new annual fee will be charged for processing and support in the reservation system:

  • Holiday apartments "bookable online" (including MeldeClient) at CHF 100.00
  • Holiday apartments "on request" (including MeldeClient) at CHF 180.00
  • Hotel "bookable online" (including MeldeClient) at CHF 50.00
  • Hotel "bookable online" (including MeldeClient) at CHF 50.00

However, tourism organisations depend on the active support and cooperation of hoteliers and holiday apartment rental companies. Only regularly updated quotas and prices, as well as bookable properties in Deskline, enable our guests to make direct bookings. It is now a fact that guests usually only search for accommodation online and immediately visit the website of another destination if no beds are available. Our staff at Obergoms Tourism Ltd. are happy to assist all hoteliers and holiday apartment rental companies with any questions they may have about the Deskline reservation system.

Tips & Tricks

Digital marketplace

The digital marketplace Wallis at wallis.ch/shop is another sales channel for service providers in Goms. On this platform, guests can plan and book their stay from start to finish directly online. The aim of the shop is to bring together the various economic players in Valais and thus create added value for the canton.

You can benefit from this too. To ensure that your hotel, holiday apartment or offer is visible in this shop, you must sign the contract with Matterhorn Region AG (see below). Prerequisite: The product or service must be listed in the feratel booking system and bookable online. MRAG charges a sales commission of 10%, with the remaining 90% going directly to the service provider. You can send the signed contract to Matterhorn Region AG:
