From Gletsch to Andermatt
The Furka Pass is the oldest of our three Alpine passes. It was opened in 1865 and connects the Valais with the canton of Uri. Some scenes from the James Bond film "Goldfinger" were shot on the Furka Pass in 1964. Since then, the Furka Pass has achieved cult status. The Hotel Belvédère and the ice grotto of the Rhone Glacier are two of the most popular photo opportunities in the Goms region and are located on the Furka Pass road.
