On the Goms trail, a special cross-country skiing experience with a four-legged companion is also provided. A separate dog trail four kilometers long has been created especially for dogs and their cross-country skiing enthusiastic owners between Oberwald and Obergesteln. Enjoy the vastness of Obergoms with your active four-legged friend on this specially designated circular trail.
Dogs are very special nature lovers and love to run in the snow. Owners know this very well. Here it's no problem if the animals leave some paw prints on the trails. It goes without saying that other droppings must be carefully removed and disposed of.
Respect is one of the golden rules of cross-country skiing. This principle also applies on the dog trail. Whether with a poodle on a leash or a husky in a harness, the trail offers space for all.
By the way, the dog trail is suitable for skaters and classic skiers.

Safety guidelines
The Goms trail is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Use of the trails is at your own risk. The Obergoms Tourism AG and the Goms trail disclaim any liability and assume no responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the information on this website.
Use only marked trails and observe all signs and notices – for your own safety, to protect the landscape, and out of respect for wildlife.
Behave considerately towards other trail users. Every cross-country skier must adapt speed and behavior, especially on descents, to their ability and visibility. In classic tracks and on the free technique trail, skiing is done on the right side with appropriate safety distance to the skier in front. Those who stop must step out of the trail. Providing assistance in case of accidents is a matter of course. To alert the rescue service, call 144.
Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing is very important.
Stay well informed about current conditions (avalanche danger, trails, winter hiking trails, snowshoe trails, and road conditions) via the winter sports report www.goms.ch/wintersportbericht.
