From the village of Oberwald to Brig, the fourth stage of the Valais Velo Tour is ideal for recovering after a strenuous climb over one of the region’s three Alpine passes (Nufenen, Grimsel, or Furka).

This stage is the easiest section of the Valais Velo Tour in terms of topography. Most of the route from Oberwald to Brig goes downhill. Along the entire track through the Goms, one typical Valais village follows another. Just a few kilometers from Oberwald, the Rhone originates from the Rhone glacier, which you will be able to see repeatedly on the way to Brig.
