Circular route with unique views of the Rhône Glacier, the Grimselsee, and over the Obergoms

This circular route starts at the Furka Pass and first leads gently, then steeper up to the Tällilücke. Up to the Tällistock, it goes up a short distance further. Afterwards, the route continues over the Tälligrat down to Gale and via Liessland back to the starting point.

IMPORTANT: The Muttbach bridge (military road Furka Pass towards Tälligrat) can no longer be crossed due to climate change (bridge foundations are shifting). However, on site, a small detour signaled by cairns can be found - this makes crossing the stream possible.

Directions

We start our route at the Furka Pass and hike south along the marked path. We cross the many small branches of the Mussbach and soon find ourselves at a junction where we keep left. A path then leads steeply up to the Tällilücke and further left, then at the highest point of the route, right to the Tälligrat.

At the crossroads in Gale, we turn right, soon cross the Lengesbach, and now circle the Tällilücke on the northeast side. At the following fork, we go right, thus reaching the junction already known from the ascent. Then it goes back along the familiar path to the Furka Pass.
