Course content
In this course, children and young people discover folk music in all its stylistic diversity.
We play and yodel together traditional and traditional, old and new dances from Valais and other Swiss cantons. We don't just play schottisch and polka, but also take a detour into international folklore - perhaps a jig from Ireland, a tango from Argentina or even a klezmer from Bulgaria?
We encourage the desire to experiment, even in unusual combinations.
Playing together in a group and harmonious accompaniment practice are the goals of this vacation course.
The course is open to all instruments.
String instruments, woodwind and brass instruments, Schwyzerörgeli, dulcimer and yodel singers make music together and learn to lead melodies or invent accompaniments.
