From the beginning of October to the end of June, the Galmihorn hut is not staffed - nevertheless, you can stay overnight on a "self-catering" basis.
The kitchen is available for preparing meals - wood is stored in a dry place. A new solar system provides electricity for lighting and charging (230V) of appliances. Water is available as long as the well behind the hut has water - after that snow has to be melted. A winter toilet is located next to the hut.

Openings
The Galmihornhütte is open daily in summer from June 28, 2025 to the beginning of October 2025. From the beginning of October to the end of June, the hut is not manned - but you can still stay overnight on a "self-catering" basis.

The ascent from Münster and Reckingen (approx. 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours) and from the Höhenweg (approx. 1 1/2 hours) is very easy via several hiking trail variants.

We also offer a vegetarian menu on request. For
organisational reasons, we are dependent on you informing us of this when you
