The Basel Youth Choir will be holding its choir camp in Obergesteln from Easter Monday, April 6, through Easter Saturday, April 11, 2026.
This choir brings together young people aged 15 to 25 from the Basel region who are passionate about choral music and has established itself as an attractive and high-quality opportunity for young singers. The choir performs both works from the established choral repertoire and pieces that explore contemporary sound aesthetics. The choir’s co-conductors, Julia Baumgartner and Timo Baumgartner, both of whom hold master’s degrees in choral conducting, will rehearse the new concert program titled "hex." during an intensive week-long camp in Obergesteln. With the concert project "hex.," the choir will immerse itself in the world of magic and the mystical, where there is enchantment, ghostly activity, crackling, and haunting!
During the camp week, the choir will perform the rehearsed program for the first time on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Obergesteln Church . The residents of Obergesteln and the Goms region are cordially invited.
