100 years of the Furka-Oberalp Railway
From July 3 to 5, 2026, the Furka-Oberalp Railway will celebrate its 100th anniversary – exactly one century after the official inauguration of the line between Gletsch (Glacier du Rhône) and Disentis.
In Realp (Urseren), visitors can look forward to a big celebration with a comprehensive exhibition, historic vehicles, and exclusive extra trips on the legendary mountain route. The Furka Mountain Route Steam Railway brings the history of the railway to life – an event for railway enthusiasts, history buffs, and families alike.
