For six years now, the maintenance of the tourist infrastructure in Goms and Obergoms has been bundled under one roof and is carried out by Forst Goms with a high degree of professionalism and at a consistently high level of quality. The repeated awards as the best cross-country skiing region in Switzerland and the consistently positive feedback from guests confirm the success of this model. An important milestone was reached two years ago when responsibility for the Goms cross-country ski trail was transferred to the Goms Nordic Center in Geschinen. This means that the Nordic Center Goms is now responsible for the entire biathlon and cross-country skiing infrastructure.
The next logical step now follows: responsibility for trail maintenance will also be transferred to the Nordic Center Goms. This will ensure that the development of Goms as one of the top cross-country skiing regions in Europe can continue and that the available resources can be used even more efficiently. The proven know-how of the Forst Goms staff will be integrated and retained.
There will be no changes to the maintenance of the summer infrastructure: Coordination will remain with Obergoms Tourismus AG, while Forst Goms will continue to carry out the work.
The partners involved are convinced that this new solution will make optimum use of the existing potential and ensure the high quality of the tourist offers in Goms and Obergoms in the long term.
