On August 21, 2025, the "Prix OVT" of the Upper Valais Transport and Tourism Association OVT was awarded for the fourth time. Of the projects submitted, the jury consisting of the OVT board shortlisted four projects. These were the tourism cooperation Aletsch Kollektiv, the vacation offer of the HOPE hospice in Ried-Brig, the VirtuAllalin virtual experience and a concept for employee mobility on the MG-Bahn. The very different projects once again show that there are many innovations in the areas of transport and tourism in the Upper Valais. The jury ultimately decided to award the CHF 5,000 prize to the Aletsch Kollektiv tourism cooperation. With this cooperation, the destinations of Aletsch Arena, Bellwald, Blatten-Belalp, Brig Simplon, Goms and Landschaftspark Binntal are strengthening their collaboration. They want to develop products together, drive forward digitalization and promote the marketing of the entire region. The first concrete product is a new highlight map. It shows the region's potential for both guests and local decision-makers. It serves as the basis for mutual and automated marketing within a standardized system landscape and can also be used for marketing activities on international markets. From the OVT's point of view, the project represents an important step towards closer cooperation between the various tourism organizations, bundles forces and can serve as a model for further collaborations.
