**History in every building**
-----------------------------

Gletsch was one of the cradles of tourism in the Alps. The village was reached on foot, by mule, by carriage and later by train and car. The first inn was built here in 1830. This was followed 150 years ago by the large Glacier du Rhône and Belvédère hotels on the pass roads. Hardly any other place in the Goms offers so many attractions in such a small area. During the summer months, you can find out more about the region at the InfoPoint Gletsch, run by the IG Region Gletsch.
