 Textile craftsmanship once had a high social status and the textiles produced back then often lasted for several generations.

In our consumer society, we have become accustomed to being able to buy everything. But how about weaving it yourself? Weaving on a loom is surprisingly easy to learn and the variety of fabrics that can be produced in just a few days is huge: scarves, towels, table runners, placemats, bag fabrics or decorative cushion covers.
